- 7/30/10 Leave Ethiopia with our daughter.
- 7/26/10 Embassy Appointment in Addis Ababa - It's Official!
- 7/25/10 Arrive in Ethiopia - Meet Abbe for the first time.
- 7/22/10 Depart for Ethiopia.
- 7/7/10 Final AGCI Conference Calls To Prepare For Travel.
- 6/28/10 Received Travel Dates! Arrive in Ethiopia 7/24/10.
- 6/11/10 2nd Court Date - We Passed!
- 6/1/10 Final Immunization Appt.
- 5/19/10 Ethiopian Court Date - Rescheduled Due To Elections.
- 5/17/10 We Received Our FDL From Immigration.
- 5/17/10 WE GOT OUR COURT DATE! It's May 19th - 2 Days Away!
- 5/5/10 Travel conference call with AGCI.
- 5/3/10 Jeannie fingerprinted at USCIS.
- 4/30/10 Tony fingerprinted at USCIS.
- 4/28/10 Received Immunizations.
- 4/22/10 Received fingerprinting appointments from USCIS
- 4/19/10 "Next Step" conference call with Kiersten from AGCI.
- 4/19/10 Conference Call with travel nurse to discuss necessary immunizations.
- 4/13/10 Complete Acceptance of Referral paperwork, get verything notarized and sent back to AGCI.
- 4/12/10 Referral Conference Call with Mindy from AGCI.
- 4/12/10 Dossier cleared through AGCI - sent for translation and authentication. Then on to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
- 4/10/10 - 4/11/10 Paperwork. Paperwork. Paperwork.
- 4/9/10 Conference call with International Pediatrician to go over referral with us and discuss any medical concerns.
- 4/9/10 Our Dossier is received at the AGCI offices. They are closing early today and will review it in the order it was received - hopefully on Monday.
- 4/8/10 - 1:45 to 4/9/10 - 4:30: A complete blur.
- 4/8/10 - 1:45 pm: Received our referral call from Kiersten! HUH? Find out that we may beat the deadline for the new 2 trip rule. REALLY?
- 4/8/10 Stopped by FexEx on the way to work to mail out Dossier packet and Immigration paperwork.
- 4/7/10 Received finalized Home Study delivered to our door by Melissa. Stayed up late copying all docs for Dossier and preparing Immigration paperwork.
- Still waiting to get finalized Home Study.
- 3/15/10 I received my FBI clearance!
- 3/12/10 Tony received his FBI clearance! Um...Where is mine?
- 3/10/10 AGCI Conference call regarding the new 2 trip rule.
- 3/6/10 Received phone call from Melissa saying that her computer crashed with our Home Study still in it and there will be a delay before we can get it.
- 2/25/10 Called FBI to check on status of fingerprint clearance. They have no record or receiving our fingerprints. WHAT?!
- 2/22/10 Final Home Study visit.
- 2/21/10 3 hour Home Study visit. Whew!
- 2/17/10 First Home Study visit.
- 2/14/10 Received 1st call from Melissa, our Social Worker, to schedule our Home Study visits.
- 2/12/10 Get the go ahead from AGCI to begin our Home Study prior to receiving the FBI clearance. WOO HOO!
- Still waiting to get our FBI Clearance.
- 1/25/10 Completed Home Study documents sent to AGCI.
- 12/30/09 Mailed fingerprints to FBI and began the 11 week wait to get them back.
- 12/29/09 Orientation call with Kiersten to go over the Dossier Binder. Started preparing and gathering documents.
- 12/27/10 Got fingerprinted for the FBI background check.
- 12/23/09 Orientation call with Becky to go over the Home Study Binder. Started preparing and gathering documents.
- 12/10/09 First Orientation Call with AGCI.
- 11/18/09 Sent an email out to our family and friends letting them know of our decision.
- 11/18/09 Decided to use AGCI as our agency after lots of research and viewing Lucy Lane's Gotcha video.
- 11/15/09 Made decision to adopt.
